A 23-year-old man is facing charges following a break, enter and theft in Exeter last week.
Huron County OPP say on Friday (may 15) the victim reported to police someone entered into their Saunders Street home and stole a rifle along with some ammunition.
Earlier in the day, police had actually also received a call from another witness, who reported seeing someone walking down Victoria Street West, carrying a rifle and a box of ammunition.
Police intervened following the first call, however he denied any knowledge of the firearm.
Following some additional investigation police returned and spoke with the suspect. This time the suspect was arrested and a search was conducted. The stolen rifle and ammunition were recovered.
23-year-old Daniel James of Exeter is facing 5 charges.
