An initiative to reopen churches and ministries has lots of support.
A letter was sent to Premier Doug Ford, the Deputy Premier, the Minister of Health and the Attorney General of Ontario.
Nearly 250 churches signed a petition in support of the letter, which is asking the Province to allow churches to reopen in early June.
The letter which can be found on our website talks about the plan for churches to ensure safety.
Churches will follow public health guidelines, limit access to roughly 40 percent capacity to allow physical distancing, enhance cleaning, continue to offer online messages, and screen people before they are allowed inside.
The letter was signed by 8 local churches: the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Exeter, the Centralia Faith Tabernacle, the Grand Bend Church of God, Pinery Baptist Church in Thedford, First Baptist Church in Goderich, Catch the Fire in Stratford, Immanuel United Reform Church in Listowel, and Bethel Free Reform in Mitchell.
