In 2019 Huron County residents raised $65,000 during the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s for the local community affected by dementia.
This year with the walk being moved online, participants have been getting active and fundraising during May, and will continue to do so until the end of the month.
That’s when a nationally-streamed event is taking place.
Community Outreach & Events Coordinator Erin Dale says there’s been added obstacles for those living with dementia during the COVID-19 pandemic.
