Bill Weber has no intention of resigning.
Following a circulating petition calling for him to step down, the Mayor of Lambton Shores simply said the next election is in 2022, and left it at that, when asked by myFM if he’d consider leaving his post if a certain number of signatures was reached.
Weber feels he and the rest of council are serving the community well.
He added it’s a free country and everyone’s entitled to their own opinion.
The petition was created by the former owners of the Roaring Cat Retreat, who lost a lengthy legal battle with the municipality and were ordered to remove their animals from their Grand Bend property.
