Huron County OPP caught a man who claimed to be a police officer.
They received a call early in May about a person that was seen operating an SUV that appeared to look like a police cruiser.
On Thursday (4th), an officer on patrol noticed what appeared to be a police cruiser on Highway 21 in Bluewater.
The officer waved to the driver of the vehicle as it passed by, but realized there were no other officers in the vicinity and went after the SUV.
A traffic stop was conducted and the officer noticed that the driver was dressed in tactical clothing and found several items inside the vehicle that were commonly used for policing.
A 33-year-old man from Wallaceburg was arrested and charged, and later released with an August 17th court date in Goderich.
