myFM has learned that six units in a downtown building were given three weeks notice to vacate their property by June 29th.
Municipal officials have told myFM News that the units are being shut down because the owner of the property refused to make necessary safety related upgrades that the Municipality has asked for continuously.
Local agencies and the County of Huron are working to ensure they have places to go by the 29th.
According to the local Street2Feet organization five of the tenants still don’t have anywhere to go.
Volunteers from the community are asked to contact Street2Feet on Facebook if they assist with helping the people move their items into storage units on June 29th.
