UPDATE: The Lambton County OPP have released the name of the deceased and details of what happened.
When the Lambton County OPP arrived on scene at approximately 1:30 a.m. on June 27th, they were told that someone had fallen into the river and had not resurfaced.
The Lambton County OPP Marine Unit and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre attended the scene to help.
A woman was found deceased several hours later in the water and was taken to the hospital to be pronounced dead. They do not suspect foul play.
The deceased has been identified as 51 year old, Michelle Mahood of London.

On June 27th at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Lambton County OPP, Lambton County Emergency Medical Services and Lambton Shores Fire Department responded to a call regarding a sudden death at a home on River Road in the Town of Grand Bend.
The investigation is ongoing with the help of the OPP West Region’s Forensic Identification Services and Lambton County Crime Unit.
