While many Huron County communities are worried about the level of service now that the OPP have move into their new detachment in Clinton, one is not sharing that same level of concern.
Goderich Mayor John Grace says he is confident that his town will be protected even though the detachment at the south end along with several others in the county were closed as a result.
Goderich renewed its contract with the OPP earlier this year.
Grace says he expects the OPP to set up a community office in order to maintain a presence in the town.
Recently, South Huron Council expressed their disappointment after learning that the Exeter detachment was closing once the new detachment opened last week (22nd).
