The issue in Huron County isn’t about the number of people who attend area beaches, or go to ones that are closed.
It is those who trespass on private property to get to a beach.
The County issued a news release asking users to respect protected areas and ecosystems as well as follow social distancing guidelines.
Warden Jim Ginn says beachgoers are resorting to great lengths to reach the water.
Ginn says there have been no issues regarding the enforcement of the beaches during the pandemic.
He says people are complying with the measures but it is also important that public knows what the rules are.
