Huron County OPP has released their result for the Canada Day Traffic Week Campaign and it turns out a few drivers learned the hard way about driving safely.
Local police handed out 159 tickets for speeding alone.
Other charges laid include: stunt driving (2) , impaired driving (4), warn range suspension (2), off road vehicle charges (8), and 10 liquor licence act charges.
There were zero fatal crashes but police investigated 20 motor vehicle collisions.
The campaign focused on safety equipment on the roadways, waterways, and trails, while also targeting the big 4. (inattentive drivers, aggressive drivers and alcohol/drug impaired drivers)
