Lambton County council recently rejected a motion to mandate mask wearing for residents at their last meeting.
It’s a move being seen made by governments in places like the GTA and Ottawa, as well as more locally in Middlesex-London, where a partial mandate comes into effect July 22nd.
County councilor and Warwick Township mayor Jackie Rombouts feels council made the right call.
Rombouts said they went off the recommendation of Lambton Medical Officer of Health Doctor Sudit Ranade and it would be another conversation down the road if the county sees a spike in case counts.
