A Georgetown man is facing a slew of charges after he was allegedly caught last weekend breaking a bunch of laws.
On July 4th around 4 PM, an officer was in Dashwood doing RADAR patrol when a SUV came into town at a high rate of speed.
The officer clocked the vehicle in excess of 100 km/h in the posted 50 km/h zone.
The driver was pulled over but got out of the vehicle and ran behind a business to avoid the officer, but the suspect was quickly arrested.
A witness told the officer that the suspect tossed a firearm into the bushes and the officer turned up an air pistol.
While speaking with the driver, it was noticed that he had been drinking so a roadside test was conducted which resulted in a fail.
Two breath samples were taken and the suspect was found to be over the legal limit.
The man was also revealed to be prohibited from driving and not to possess any weapons.
