Nancy Buttar is the woman behind a local soup kitchen, and a big part of the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre.
About 10 years ago there was a fire in downtown Clinton so she wanted to help feed the fire department, but instead the people who were put out of their houses came, and it started a soup kitchen.
Nancy says she can’t bear that anyone in Huron County goes hungry with all the food available, so she became friends with people at the Huron County Foodbank Distribution Centre and she fell in love with it.
Everyone faces challenges in their life and Nancy says hers is fundraising.
Nancy says the most important thing about working in the not-for-profit sector is to treat everyone with respect.
