Perth County OPP is thanking a good samaritan to came to the aid of people involved in a motor vehicle collision.
On July 2nd, a fully loaded transport truck travelling on Highway 23 struck a vehicle that was attempting to cross the intersection at Line 20 in Russeldale.
OPP constable Crilly and a citizen, Jason Desjardine witnessed the event and were quick to tend to the four occupants inside the car that was struck.
Desjardine tended to the driver’s wound by applying pressure to it and giving Crilly additional support needed in the tense situation.
Desjardine said “It was a team effort, with police and paramedics. I couldn’t have done it without them. I did what I had to do. All the CPR training I’ve had, it all clicked in. I was fortunate to be there.”
