A COVID-19 outbreak at a local business has led to six new cases, with more expected.
Huron Perth Public Health confirmed on Monday that the new cases are associated with Zehrs Country Market which has locations in Bayfield and Dashwood.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Miriam Klassen said during a press conference that many of the cases are clusters within the same household and they are also connected to a large spread of cases across southwestern Ontario.
HPPH says all the cases are self isolating and no hospitalizations have been reported due to the outbreak.
Exact locations of the cases are not yet known but HPPH believes the cases will be concentrated in the southern part of Huron County.
Over the weekend contract tracing was done, and more positives are expected to be announced later this week.
Residents of Huron-Perth are encouraged to continue to do the following:

· Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available
· Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
· Maintain a physical distance of 6 feet/2 metres from anyone not in your social circle.
· Wear a non-medical cloth face covering in indoor public spaces and in settings where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
