Upgrades at Goderich Terminal aims to make shipments more efficient and less dusty.
Parrish and Heimbecker (P&H) recently installed a new spout with dust suppressing technology where grain can be poured on to the vessel without creating dust emissions.
The other is a mooring dolphin to that enable ships of all sizes to load and unload goods at the terminal at a safe distance.
Mayor John Grace says the improvements will mean more ships can use the harbour.
Grace says Parrish and Heimbecker made a considerable investment into the harbour (in the area of $7 Million to $8 Million).
He says it will be good for the agricultural industry and Huron County.
