COVID-19 has led the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario to change the name, and the approach, of their annual fundraising event.
Walk-It for Parkinson’s has turned into Walk the Block for Parkinson’s this year.
Participants in this years fundraiser will be walking in their own communities, homes and even backyards, over the weekend of September 12th and 13th.
The change will help make sure they follow social distancing, while still offering people a chance to help their community.
Last year’s event was a huge success, with over $450,000 raised by individuals, teams and corporate sponsors.
All of the information for this year’s event can be found online at WalkTheBlock.ca.
