Huron Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson has released the 10 actions to ensure a safe return to school safe document which hopes to clear up some misunderstandings and misinformation. .
Staff and students will be screened everyday, any suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 must be reported to the local health unit.
Students in grades 4-12 will be required to wear non-medical cloths or masks indoors, students will also learn proper hand hygiene and schedules will be allowed for students to wash hands.
Each student will be kept with the same group of students and teachers for as much of the school day as possible, up to 625 public health nurses are being hired to assist schools and boards, up to 1300 new custodians are also being hired and cleaning supplies are being supplied to schools.
All schools will limit visitors including parents, daily logs of attendance, seating charts, bussed students, and approved daily visitors will be kept for contact-tracing purposes, and parental choice will be respected as in person attendance is optional.
