The Fanshawe Falcons have joined the newly formed Ontario Post Secondary Esports League, and will field a team in League of Legends, Hearthstone, Rocket League and Overwatch.
Head coach Tyler Hetherington says they’re looking to make an immediate impact out of the gate.
He says their focus is on bettering the students as a whole first and the competitive side comes second. Esports has exploded into a multi-billion dollar business and more schools are forming teams. You can watch the Falcons play on twitch.tv/fanshawefalcons starting in October.
