Middlesex County warden Cathy Burghardt-Jesson obviously does not want to see the economy take a step back as COVID-19 cases continue to climb in Ontario and in the region.
She says it was hard enough for these businesses to stop on a dime and close down for months, especially when a lot of them would go on to never open again.
The warden says businesses have discovered a solid routine of controlling the crowds and finding ways to offer additional online sales and curbside pickup, adding it’d be a shame if people’s ignorance towards COVID-19 erased all the progress made since March.
