The principal of South Huron District High School is hoping to inspire some donations in turn for a lengthy run.
Jana Bayer-Smith will run from her home in Lucan to the school in Exeter if the $3000 fundraising goal is reached.
This was an idea Bayer-Smith had a few years ago but brought it back to life here because of all the changes COVID-19 brought to the Terry Fox Run.
A few years ago Bayer-Smith trained for long distance runs so the feat wouldn’t be all that difficult however she says that’s no longer the case, and she’s working up to covering the 22km stretch, with help on the route from friends and fellow staff members.
