The South Huron Community Fund has announced the 2020 recipient of the annual Lavender Family Scholarship.
Established by Joyce Lavender in memory of her late husband, the scholarship fund supports local youth pursuing the trades.
The Lavender Fund is awarded to a graduating student from South Huron District High School with the highest mark in automotive or mechanical technology and lives in the greater Hensall area.
This years recipient is Alexis McLeod, who’s set to earn a Specialist High Skills Major in Automotive Transportation upon graduation.
