After allegedly catching the munchies two people are now facing charges after trying to grab some food from a drive through on Main Street in Exeter.
The incident took place on Tuesday (Oct 20) when an employee called the police about a possible impaired driver.
Police arrived and gave the driver a field sobriety test, which the driver failed and he was placed under arrest, and later at the OPP it was confirmed he was impaired by drugs.
A search of the vehicle turned up cannabis as well as suspected Fentanyl.
The passenger took off when police tried to identify her, but police caught up and arrested her.
The driver, 39 year old Justin Beattie from South Huron was charged with impaired driving, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession for the purpose of distributing.
The passenger, 27 year old Dayna Stanley from Kingsville has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession for the purpose of distributing, obstruction, and failure to comply.
