There are currently 48 active cases of COVID-19 in Huron and Perth.
Huron Perth Public Health confirmed that this is the highest number of cases in the region.
31 of the cases are associated with an outbreak at Cedarcroft in Stratford.
Dr. Miriam Klassen said during a news conference that there have been three deaths associated with the outbreak at Cedarcroft, and she suspects that the numbers could rise.
Other cases include 10 healthcare workers, and 7 community cases including a person at Milverton Public School.
Dr. Klassen asks everyone to be vigilant about public health measures:
· Stay home if you are sick
· Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly
· Maintain physical distance of 6 feet / 2 metres from those not in your household
· Wear a non-medical cloth face covering where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
