Ontario’s 2020 Budget was unveiled recently by the Finance Minister.
There’s not an abundance of surprises, with substantial funding headed to various COVID-19 support programs and infrastructure boosts to hospitals.
The government is committing to record spending, with more than $187 billion in expenditures this year. That of course increases the deficit, to $38.5 billion.
Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton says they laid out the track to chipping away at it.
Also included in the budget is at-home school funding for families, incentives to vacation in Ontario, and a boost to rural broadband.
