The Bayfield Centre of the Arts is excited to announce that they have acquired the property required to bring the centre to life.
The non-profit says a generous gift from a local couple (Mac Voisin and Marcela Bahar) has allowed them to purchase the building, at the corner of Highway 21 and Cameron Street.
President Leslee Squirrell says that without their donation, they would have missed out on the property.
The goal is to develop a centre featuring an art gallery that can host exhibitions and outreach initiatives including festivals and mobile art programs.
