Supplying PPE to the community and mental and physical health initiatives are the latest undertakings to benefit from the $1 million Be a Light: Beating COVID-19 campaign of Bruce Power.
A total of $150,000 in disposable masks, hand sanitizer and automatic temperature monitors will be provided to a number of communities and organizations including long-term and health care facilities across Bruce, Grey and Huron counties.
In addition, $250,000 will support the maintenance and enhancement of the Kincardine Trails, the Saugeen Rail Trail and the feasibility of a trail at Saugeen First Nation.
And, another $50,000 is earmarked for mental health initiatives in the region.
