More people apparently have found jobs despite the pandemic.
A report from the Four County Labour Market Planning Board suggests unemployment within the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula economic region went down by a percentage point to 5.4 per cent in November.
The Provincial unemployment rate was 8.7 per cent, a drop of 1.2 per cent.
They say the overall net employment in the region increased by 5,700 with both full-time (+1,000) and part-time gains (+4,800).
They go on to say the greatest increases were in wholesale and retail trade (+3,100) and other services (except public administration) (+1,200).
The greatest losses were in Healthcare and social assistance (-2,300).
