There is a guide for municipalities in Huron County that are planning for growth.
The County’s Planning, Economic Development, and Public Works departments have put together something called the Growth Planning Best Practices Guide.
Director of Planning and Development Sandra Weber says it is an easy to follow manual that makes decisions as simple as possible.
Weber says the guide covers allocating service capacity, road and intersection improvements, and whether the user or or ratepayer should pay for those costs.
