Two federal departments are being brought in to look into Monday’s train derailment in Goderich.
Transport Canada and the Transportation Safety Board have joined Huron County OPP in the investigation into the cause of the derailment at the grain terminal.
OPP investigators say two people had to be rescued after being trapped in the pick truck up they were in as the runaway train.
Crews with Goderich Fire managed to free the occupants and both were not injured.
The runaway train also caused a transport truck and trailer to roll over but it was unoccupied at the time.
A total of ten rail cars derailed and a storage shed was also damaged.
No damage estimate has been determined.
South Harbour Street remains closed as crews continue to clean up wreckage.
