Huron County OPP are alarmed at the number of impaired driving charges laid in 2020.
There were 88 charges laid compared to 65 in 2019.
Constable Jamie Stanley says they can’t figure out why impaired driving charges were up.
Stanley says almost of a third of the charges laid involved a crash with two of the crashes resulted in fatalities.
He adds close to half of the drivers charged (46 percent) had a blood alcohol level that was twice over the legal limit.
