A suspect has been caught with the assistance of the Canine Unit in the Municipality of West Perth.
On February 08, just before 11:00 p.m., the Perth County OPP received a report of a suspicious person at a residence on Line 36, in the Municipality of West Perth. The suspect had kicked in the door of the residence and then fled the area on foot.
The Perth County OPP was assisted by the Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine Unit, who located the suspect after tracking the suspect for approximately four kilometers.
Brendan Card, 38, of West Perth, has been charged with:
-Break, Enter a dwelling house – With Intent to Commit Indictable Offence
-Trespassing at Night
-Mischief – Obstructs, Interrupts, or Interferes with the Lawful Use, Enjoyment, or Operation of Property
