An OPP cruiser at the London detachment off Exeter Road.
OPP made an arrest and are looking for a second suspect after a police pursuit along Highway 21 that ended in Kincardine.
A member of the Huron County detachment spotted an unplated decommissioned ambulance going south on Kerry’s Line in Kintail late Friday night.
Attempts to stop the vehicle failed and the cruiser was rammed from the side by the vehicle.
The chase continued north along Highway 21 into Huron-Kinloss where a spike belt was deployed near Bruce Road 6 in Pine River.
However, the vehicle continued along on rims and, as more cruisers joined the pursuit, items were being hurled from the back of the vehicle.
After colliding with three OPP cruisers, the vehicle stopped at Highway 9 in Kincardine and the two occupants fled on foot into a field.
West Region Emergency Response Team set up a containment area and, with the help of the canine unit, apprehended a male suspect hiding in the backyard of a home on Sutton Street.
A second male suspect remains at large.
Charged is a 34-year-old man from Hanover, who is also wanted on another stolen vehicle charge, and was held for a bail hearing.
Investigators are asking witnesses to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
