South Huron council will see internet and telephone voting for the 2022 municipal and school board elections.
Council voted in favor of a motion last night to authorize the use of both voting systems, and have authorized staff to come back with a by-law at an upcoming meeting for final approval.
The motion also authorized staff to enter into a Joint Municipal RFP process with other lower-tier municipalities in Huron County to find a provider to put the two voting methods in place.
South Huron also allowed internet and telephone voting during the last municipal election.
