With the latest provincial stay-at-home order in effect the one constant is that schools remain open.
We spoke with President of the Avon Maitland Teachers Local Kent Cleland about if he believes schools are the safest places to be as Premier Ford and Education Minister Stephen Lecce keep saying.
Cleland told myFM he anticipates an announcement that online learning will return following next week’s Spring Break and adds that health units are putting pressure on the province.
He adds that if an announcement does come it needs to take place before 4:30 PM on a Friday before parents, students and educators are preparing to head back to the classrooms.
