In a follow up to Monday’s story on local chambers of commerce handing out free COVID-19 test kits to small and medium sized businesses, the Huron Chamber of Commerce announced that they will be one of a number of local chambers that will be distributing the test kits to local businesses.
The Ontario Chamber of Commerce is making these kits available to any small and medium-sized business with 150 or fewer employees after a successful trial run in the Waterloo Region.
Manager Heather Boa says once this program was announced they immediately signed up.
Boa says businesses interested in acquiring a two-week supply of the antigen kits can sign up at the Chamber website starting next Monday (17th).
She says kits will then be handed out at the Livery Theatre in Goderich where participants will be given instructions on how to use them.
Boa says this project wouldn’t have gotten off the ground here without the tremendous cooperation from the Town of Goderich, Bruce Power, Goderich Little Theatre, Huron and Area Search and Rescue, and Alexandra Marine and General Hospital.
