The Share the Road Cycling Coalition has given the City of Stratford an honourable mention as part of its Bicycle Friendly Communities award program.
The awards celebrate communities across the country that have taken steps to support a growing interest in cycling.
In Stratford the Active Transportation Advisory Committee and Huron Perth Public Health have created a number of initiatives to make the area more cycling friendly.
In Stratford there has been advocacy for more bike lanes and multi-use trails, new bike rakes and more education and awareness.
