Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) continue to create public information materials during its 75th anniversary this year. Formerly the Ausable River Conservation Authority, created in 1946, it was Ontario’s first conservation authority.
The conservation authority produced a new video going through 75 years of local watershed management. The video featured the Chair of the ABCA Board of Directors Doug Cook, and was released in April.
Along with the video, staff members have created a pop quiz to test your knowledge of conservation in the watershed. The trivia questions will be available on their social media accounts in the coming weeks.
And if you are looking to test your knowledge even further, staff have also created a 14-question public survey, not only to test you, but also to get your input into local watershed programs and services.
To watch the video created, visit the conservations 75th anniversary web page https://www.abca.ca/about/anniversary or you can find it on their YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/TheAusable.
If any local people are holding trivia activities, the ABCA encourages them to contact them at 519-235-2610 or toll-free 1-888-268-2610 for questions and answers they can incorporate into their contests.
