Huron Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson was part of the Ford government’s cabinet shuffle on Friday (18th).
She has been moved from the Governmental and Consumer Service portfolio to Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs.
Thompson takes over from Ernie Hardeman who held that post since the PCs formed government in 2018.
She said in a statement that she will work hard on behalf of the agri-food sector and is looking forward to working side-by-side with Ontario’s farmers, commodity organizations, processing sector, and rural communities.
Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton retains his position as Minister of Labour, Trades, and Skills Development.
