Huron Perth Public Health have expanded eligibility for an earlier second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to anyone 18 and older who received the first dose of the vaccine.
As of Monday June 28th, individuals who received their first dose of the vaccine before May 30th are eligible to book the second dose at a shortened interval. The appointment for the second dose but be at least 28 days after the first dose of Moderna of Pfizer, and 8 weeks after of the first dose of AstraZeneca.
Pfizer and Moderna are interchangeable, meaning that if you’ve had your first dose of one, you can get your second dose of the other. If you had AstraZeneca you can safely get Moderna of Pfizer as well, and any combination will count as fully vaccinated.
