Perth County Paramedic Services have kicked off a new campaign called “My Workplace Is A Safe Place,” with the goal of showing support for marginalized populations. In Ontario, these marginalized communities are less likely to health care due to fear of discrimination or mistreatment, something this campaign is hoping to change.
Mike Adair, Chief of Perth County Paramedic Services said that, “The goal of this new campaign is to let the people in our community know that when they call 911, for any reason, they will be respected and treated with compassion and without judgment.”
The campaign will include the placement of a new safe space decal on all ambulances and supervisor vehicles in Perth County.
