During a routine inspection of the Huron Park Fire Hall deficiencies were found.
A hazardous report was completed on the building and hazardous substances were found in the building.
South Huron Fire Chief Jeremy Becker told myFM that the well-being and safety of the firefighters is the key priority which is why they were removed.
He added that the response time to calls in the Huron Park area will not be impacted.
South Huron is also completing a Master Fire Plan which is coming back to council in the fall and will highlight the needs of the department.
