South Huron council voted down a motion during Monday night’s council meeting from the Police Services Board.
A motion was brought forward to allow officers to access workspaces and washrooms at the Fire Stations in South Huron.
Deputy Mayor Jim Dietrich, who sits on the Police Services Board was in favor of the motion.
But Mayor George Finch was strongly opposed and relinched the Chair position to give his take on the matter.
Finch was strongly opposed to the motion.
Finch also stated during the meeting that alternatives had been offered to the OPP.
