Lambton Heritage Museum is set to reopen their doors to the public on August 4th, with a new exhibit and a quilter’s show.
The new exhibit is called Nigiiwemin /We Are Going Home, which looks at the Ipperwash Crisis of 1995. Dana thorne, Curator and Supervisor at the Museum said that this is the first run of the exhibit here, but it did run at the London Museum in 2020.
The second thing opening on the 4th is the bi-annual North Lambton Quilter’s Guild Show. It will be running for two weeks and will be feature about 40 quilts that will be on display.
Admission to the Museum of Indigenous visitors will be waived during the run of the Nigiiwemin exhibit.
