Huron Perth Public Health are setting up vaccination clinics for those who may have contracted Hepatitis A.
This is in response to an outbreak declared by the Public Health Agency of Canada on July 31st after packages of frozen mangoes were found contaminated (see below for products and dates).
A recall was issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency after two confirmed cases were reported in Quebec, and one in Nova Scotia.
No cases have been reported in Ontario but the recalled mangoes were distributed and sold here.
Those who consumed the products in the last 14 days can receive a free Hepatitis vaccine at one of the clinics taking place today (MON) and tomorrow (TUE).

Those were received a Hepatitis A vaccine in the last six months, had a previous Hepatitis A infection, or have eaten the affected product prior to the recall do not need to get vaccinated.
The recalled products are:
· Nature’s Touch Mangoes (frozen) – two kilograms, with a best before date of November 9, 2022
· Compliments Mango Mania (frozen) – 600 grams, with best before dates of November 10, 2022 and December 18, 2022
· Irresistibles Mango Chunks (frozen) – 600 grams, with a best before date of November 10, 2022
· President’s Choice Mango Chunks (frozen) – 600 grams, with best before dates of November 6, 2022 and November 10, 2022.
