With restrictions now lifting, and vaccination rates going up, more people are feeling comfortable heading out of the house, meeting up with friends who they may not have seen since last year, and socializing a bit more.
But, it is important to keep in mind that the pandemic is still happening, and we are currently dealing with the Delta variant.
Dr. Alex Summers, the Associate Medical Officer of Health for the Middlesex-London Health Unit says that it still isn’t time to return to pre-pandemic socializing.
He says that amongst friends it is important to have conversations about vaccination status.
Dr Summers says that if you come from a place of kindness and understanding, asking someone what their vaccination status is and sharing yours will benefit everyone and will possibly make those who have been hesitant to get the vaccine more comfortable because they have someone they can ask question to.
