On Thursday, The Medical Officer of Health and CEO of the Eastern Ontario Public Health Unit was quoted saying that all Medical Officers of Health in Ontario will agree to do a vaccine passport if Premier Ford won’t by CTV News Ottawa.
This issue was brought up and addressed by the Middlesex London Health Unit at the media briefing on Thursday afternoon.
Dr. Alex Summers, the Associate Medical Officer of Health for the MLHU says that right now, the MLHU is not planning a separate regional passport, as they would rather see a provincial approach, but he says that there is an agreement that something is needed.
Summers added that they will continue to work with our regional province and continue to look towards the province regarding this. He also said that they will look and watch how places with them do and the value of them
