The top doctor in Lambton County is urging all businesses to implement a mandatory COVID-19 vaccine policy.
Dr. Greensmith, the Acting Medical Officer of Health made the recommendation to help curb the spread of the Delta variant.
Dr. Greensmith says the policies should require all employees to provide proof of COVID-19 immunization or a written request for accommodation or a completion of COVID-19 vaccination education session.
The recommendation includes all Lambton County staff as well as councilors.
In a statement Dr. Greensmith said: “Lambton Public Health (LPH) and County Council need to demonstrate strong leadership during this time.” “Higher vaccination rates are needed to provide community protection against COVID-19 and its variants.”
