The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance Board of Directors have finalized their COVID-19 immunization policy.
The policy went into effect in September and goes further than minimum provincial requirements.
HPHA is mandating that 100 percent of employees, physicians, midwives, students, and contractors be fully vaccinated by October 28th unless they have a medical reason.
From now until October 27th anyone who is not fully vaccinated will have to undergo mandatory education sessions and rapid testing up to 48 hours per shift.
Starting on October 28th anyone who still hasn’t met the policy requirements will be placed on a two-week unpaid leave of absence/unable to exercise privileges.
If after those two week if requirements are still not met then HPHA will have deemed that the person has resigned from their position/privileges.
