Since 2016 Huron County OPP have responded to nearly 150 drug overdose calls, with sadly 14 ending in death.
Local police have launched a drug awareness campaign , which will focus on the Good Samaritan act and Naloxone.
The Good Samaritan Act provides legal protection for people who seek help during an overdose even if they have drugs on them.
Naloxone meanwhile helps save lives by blocking the effect of opioids.
Police used Naloxone two times last week alone.
